18 is Too Young to Vote

Let’s all recognize, 18-year-old kids/adults are not that bright for the most part and their right to vote should be suspended until at least the age of 25 when their brain is fully developed. In our preteens we are just beginning to comprehend how the stuff we do today effects our tomorrow. Then as teenagers we are going through all sorts of changes in life and are beginning to figure out how to manage our time and maybe think past high school and into our future.

Then all the sudden you turn 18 and have the right to vote? They can’t even control their frantic little lives.  I believe the only way you should get to vote when your 18 is if you join the military.  This would mean that I would also be forfeiting the right to vote because I am not yet 25, but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make to keep dumb kids out of the poll both. The only way I would allow 18-year-olds to vote is if they and everyone else passed a test to vote. That’s right, whether you are 18 or 80 if you can’t pass the test you don’t vote.

People may say voting is a right, but so is driving a car. You still have to pass a test to get your drivers license and legally drive a car. I say give us all a test because stupid people shouldn’t be voting. Here is an example; I did a psychology experiment my senior year of high school where I asked students simple questions like, what three states bordered California? At least 80% couldn’t answer or they would say Mexico, Colorado, Texas, South Dakota and so on. The only one they all got right was Neveda and by the way I went to school in Southern California. Now you’re telling me kids that were 18 or turning 18 and couldn’t answer that simple question or other simple questions similar to it, all of the sudden they get to vote for the most powerful figure in the world?

Obama the Fearmonger

 August 27, 2012 | By: Jobot

Republicans want to hurt women and deport Hispanics. They are biased against African Americans, don’t want to lend money to the youth for education, and they want to destroy seniors Medicare. Rather than talking about and trying to solve the problems that face our country, this is what the Democratic Party will be talking about at the Democratic National Convention. Problems that should be addressed such as the bad economy, energy, the massive debt and deficit, will probably be taking a back seat.

The DNC will be focusing on scare tactics because that is all the President can talk about. He can’t talk about cutting the deficit in half because he didn’t, he added $5 trillion to the national debt in 3 years. He can’t talk about how unemployment will not go above 8% since he passed his $775 billion stimulus bill because it has never been below 8% despite passing the stimulus. Obama has not even created plus one net job for the economy since being in office. He has nothing to run on, so he will run on hate and division. This is his game plan.

Let’s remember one last thing that Obama himself said during his speech at the 2008 DNC Convention,Because if you don't have any fresh ideas, then you use stale tactics to scare the voters. If you don't have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from. You make a big election about small things.” Then one week before the election on 10/27/2012 he said, “In one week, you can put an end to the politics that would divide a nation just to win elections.” Does anyone think that he will say that same thing this during the DNC Convention this year or even anytime during this election?

Obama’s Unpatriotic and Irresponsible Spending

 August 19, 2012 | By Jobot

President Obama claims to have value, principle and core beliefs when it comes to spending our money, our grand children's money and our great grand children's money. The truth of the matter is very different when you begin to dig deeper.  When you begin to look at what he has done and what he has said during the campaign events, debates and throughout his presidency.
In the Democratic debate that took place in Philadelphia in 2008, then presidential candidate Barack Obama stated, "You know, I believe in the principle that you pay as you go...". Obama also attacked President George W. Bush during a campaign event in Fargo, North Dakota July 3, 2008 saying, “The problem is, is that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt...”. Obama also went on to say during that same event that what George W. Bush did was “unpatriotic” and “irresponsible” to saddle future generations with such a large debt. President Bush added $4 trillion to the national debt during his presidency.
President Obama has made many statements on how the government wastes money, but he is the biggest offender of all. He obviously does not believe in the principle he stated in the 2008 presidential debate, otherwise as President of the United States he wouldn’t have added $6.5 trillion to the national debt. To put that into perspective, the national debt accumulated by the first 43 presidents totaled $6.3 trillion. He has spent billions on failed programs such as Solyndra, a solar-energy company who he gave $535 million to, so he could hold a press conference celebrating his $787 billion stimulus package that he had passed. Solyndra is now bankrupt.
The President has no intentions of stopping the spending. Despite what he has said in the past, he continues to push for more spending. In Obama’s weekly address on May 12, 2012 he asked the Republican controlled congress for another $34.7 billion to help create more jobs. This money is part of a more comprehensive $447 billion jobs package. For somebody who ran on the platform of being fiscally responsible and attacking George W. Bush for raising the debt celling, Obama seems to have no consideration for the country’s financial stability. On March 16, 2006 then Senator Obama said about raising the debt sealing, “ Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren.” He also said “America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership Americans deserve better.”
Many people might say that the President has no control over the spending that goes on. The fact is that President Obama had a super majority of Democrats in the Senate and Congress when he took office the first two years. During these two years, he could do almost whatever he desired. During his first two years, Obama ran up a $2.8 trillion deficit. Obama has only vetoed two bills which were both put forward by the new Republican congress that took over in 2011. The Republicans have since issued budget proposals and cuts which all get voted down when they go to the Democrat controlled Senate.
The last day the Senate passed a budget was April 9, 2009. I think if Obama wanted the Senate to pass a budget, then he would have them do it. Obama is close with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid who if personally asked to make a budget by Obama, would most likely oblige. Obama obviously does not want a budget passed because it would show how outrageous his spending is. Obama’s latest budgets for 2013 were rejected by a Democrat controlled Senate 99-0 and also by the Republican controlled Congress who rejected it 414-0. As we see in this example, even when Obama puts forth a budget, it is so outrages that every single Congressman and Senator from his own party rejected it because they do not want to have their names tied to something so irresponsible.
Obama ran on the platform of cutting the deficit in half and fixing our spending problem but he has done nothing to fulfill these promises. In fact, he has dramatically made it worse. He is piling the debt on the backs of every American citizen, as well as our children, grandchildren and our great grandchildren, and probably our great great grandchildren as well. One thing I know and believe to be apparent to all is that this President does not know what the word “budget” means.
